Dear all,
As we confront the threats and attacks from the Trump Administration, many have voiced the need for additional resources, especially for those who are being surveilled by ICE, whether directly by ICE (through check-ins) or through ISAP and other deportation management programs. People under ICE surveillance are among the most vulnerable to arrest and detainment.
For that reason, CJE is releasing the resource “When ICE is Watching: Know Your Fight, Protect Your People”, which provides information to people under ICE surveillance about the risks for arrest and detention and how to reduce them through knowledge and planning ahead. The information contained in this resource was obtained through interviews with people enrolled in ICE surveillance programs, community organizers, and trusted attorneys. We will be updating it periodically as new information becomes available.
The resource is available in English, Spanish, French, Wolof, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese, Hindi, Arabic, and Kreyol (coming soon!) If there are other languages that would be helpful to your organizations and are not included here, please reach out directly to me. You can find the folder with all the resources here: https://bit.ly/knowyourfight. Please share it widely!
Finally, if your group is organizing around these issues and wants to connect with us and other organizations working to protect and fight back against ICE surveillance and deportation management programs, we want to hear from you! Fill out this link to get connected.
In solidarity,
